Weyers Cave man charged with murder after brother shot and killed at business

MOUNT CRAWFORD — A Weyers Cave gentleman has been billed with murder in Rockingham County, authorities claimed Thursday.
Richard D. Brunk, 60, is charged with initial-diploma murder and use of a firearm in the fee of a felony. The Rockingham County Sheriff’s Workplace stated the suspect reportedly shot and killed his brother, 63-year-old Ronald D. Brunk.
At about 7 p.m. on Wednesday, authorities responded to a business — Mast and Brunk — at 917 Cottontail Path, where by they located Ronald Brunk unresponsive on the ground with a gunshot wound to the upper body, a push launch said.
A deputy attempted CPR but the sufferer was declared dead soon after rescue staff arrived on the scene.
An investigation disclosed that Ronald Brunk experienced not long ago been associated in a family members dispute with Richard Brunk, according to the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office.
Richard Brunk was located in Augusta County at his Weyers Cave residence and was taken into custody without the need of incident. He is currently being held without having bond at the Rockingham Harrisonburg Regional Jail.
